I've always wanted to see the Glen Boulder, so we went up the Glen Boulder trail.  Turns out that my mother was there 50 years earlier.  We thought of considering Boott Spur on the return, but I lobbied for doing it on the ascent as the extra 200 feet of elevation would be less annoying then.  We had moments of sun while lunching on Boott Spur.  The hike down the Davis Path to Isolation was interminable.  We realized that daylight was going to be precious so we considered going down Rocky Branch, but eventually reverted to original plan as the 3 mile hike up route 16 didn't seem like fun.  As we approached the junction of Davis Path and Glen Boulder trail on the return we climbed up into the clouds.  Visibility dropped to about 200 feet.  With the GPS we bushwhacked over to the Glen Boulder trail as we were nervous about daylight.  We bushwhacked 600 feet and saved 1900 feet and 10 minutes.  At about 4000 feet we sent Mark on ahead, no point in all of us needing flashlights.  Just below the diretissima we turned on our lights and did the last 15 minutes artificially.
