1432 see John Lewis, decide to visit before finding lodging
1435 find top floor restaurant: strawberry tart and schweppes orange and lemon soda
1450 croissant
1455 find street and follow Leith Walk to MacDonald
1510 arrive at Ben Cruachan, 17 MacDonald 5 seconds after a lady is seen leaving it.
     while  we look for door bell, lady turns and says, "Mr Follansbee???"
     She's the proprietess
     She lets us in and her Husband shows us to our room
1550 walk back to camera store

1600 receive 11 sets of prints £79.90
1610 what to do?
     lets hop an all-you-can-ride bus
1615 Board Lothian #26, L3.00 for two all day
     go upstairs and in a minute grab front left seats
1650 arrive at end of line, near airport, stay seated
1655 bus returns through Edinburgh center
1720 bus continues on to Portobello (now I know where Mark Knopfler's "Portobello belle" comes from.
1735 bus comes to end of line.
     driver comes up, learns we are sightseeing and says, "I only return a short ways and then goes out of service"
     we say, "Fine, just tell us when you're at your last stop"
1740 driver says, "Last stop"
    we get off
1745 board Lothian #2, ride past MacDonald Road, down Princes St, disembark at end of Royal Mile
1805 stop at post office
1810 on Rose St, can't find "Get Stuffed", oh well, there's always TGI Fridays
 
1815 TGIFriday's: potato skins, lemonade, snow crab clusters, fries, toffee coffee crunch
     the crab was served cold so I asked the Maitre She "Is this how it's done here?"
     "Oh yes" she said.
     I can't believe people who butter their steaks and their bacon sandwiches would
     miss a golden opportunity to use more butter.
